Mission Statement for the plot of land donated to ISKCON Vrindavan by His Holiness Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaja

"There is a plot of land in Vrindavan where my disciples wanted to construct a house for me. I did not encourage
  that. It is my desire that, this particular land should be donated to ISKCON Vrindavan for any purpose they may
  deem fit."

1.  The most pressing need for the community both locally and internationally is to establish a Devotee Care Centre to assist elderly devotees who are retired and want to spend their final days in Sri Vrindavan Dhama.

2.  The plot of land will be used for the Sri Sri Krishna Balarama Devotee Care Centre in Vrindavan.

3.  With this purpose in mind, a beautiful building has been designed with twenty-five rooms expressly for elderly        senior devotees.

4.  There will be amenities available for the residents to assure the highest respect and assistance required for their    final days in Vrindavan.

Resolved this day, February 9th, 2025, on the auspicious occasion of Sri Varahadeva Dvadasi, at
ISKCON Vrindavan by the members of the Executive Committee.

  •  Easy access to visit the Sri Sri Krishna Balarama Mandir any time, to take part in the temple activities and render     service as much as possible.

  • The rooms will be available on long-term rental basis for devotees over age 65. There is an application form for prospective residents. Anyone who would like to sponsor a devotee's residence may contact the Krishna Balaram Donation Centre at the Reception of the Krishna Balarama International Guest House.

  • Prerequisites for Prospective Residents

  • 1) Initiated disciple in ISKCON loyal to Srila Prabhupada and the Governing Body Commission (GBC) of ISKCON

  • 2) Devotee in good standing, with recommendations from two senior ISKCON office bearing members.

  • 3) Financially capable of fulfilling the rental fees, or who has a sponsor who will cover the rental fees.

  • 4) Capable of residing alone in the room, without a personal caregiver. When medical assistance is required, the Bhaktivedanta Hospital and Hospice are available.

  • 5) Preparing a Living Will for legal facilitation when required.

  • 6) Medical Record overview

  • 7) Profile of previous service record in ISKCON.

  • 8) No pets.

  • 9) Visitors must register in the reception office. Visiting hours are 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 PM.

  • 10) Minimum age 65 years old.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION 

2. The residence will be from the date of acceptance of the terms and conditions. This privilege cannot be transferred    to other individuals. It is valid provided all rules and regulations are observed, arid the rental fees of the room are paid.

3. The management will request the resident to vacate the room if terms and conditions are not observed, or rental
fees are not paid.

1. All applicants must be 65 years of age or older. Applicants may include a spouse if both husband and wife desire to  reside at the Sri Sri Krishna Balarama Devotee Care Centre together. One person should be named as the "primary resirent" who will be responsible for all dealings with the management, especially if there is som dispute or divorce.

4. If there are complaints from other residents or staff, eligibility will be reconsidered by the management.

5.  In case there is any medical emergency or need for medical assistance that is not available at the Devotee Care
Centre, a Living Will should be registered to ascertain the wishes of the resident.

DECLARATION:

1. I (we) fully understand that there is absolutely no long term benefit being offered, guaranteed or promised by              becoming a resident at the Sri Sri Krishna Balarama Devotee Care Centre, Residence is based on seva and devotional activity within ISKCON.

2. I (we) fully understand and agree to the Codes of Conduct and I (we) agree to strictly observe the four regulative        principles (no illicit sex; no eating of meat, fish or eggs; no gambling, and no intoxication) while residing at the Sri Sri Krishna Balarama Devotee Care Centre.

4. I pledge my loyalty to the ISKCON GBC

3. I (we) fully understand that I am (we are) responsible for paying monthly rental fees for the room.
